Heffernan, who was first appointed to the court in 1964 by Governor John Reynolds and served until 1995; Heffernan became the Chief Justice in 1983. Included in the collection is personal correspondence, personal and office subject files, speeches, articles, voting sheets, judicial conference files, mandate sheets, calendar resumes, and opinion case files.
